On Friday, The Modoc Braves got themselves on the board against the Etna Lions, but the Etna Lions never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 36-0 win over the Lions at home. The result was nothing new for Modoc, who have now won three contests by 20 points or more so far this season.
Jake Hallmark went supernova for Modoc, rushing for 153 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries. Hallmark was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards. Jordan Maddox got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Modoc's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Conor Boyle and his two sacks.
Modoc is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season. As for Etna, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Modoc will take on Weed at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Etna, they will be playing at home against Redding Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Redding Christian is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
