The Skyline Eagles can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They came out on top against Viewmont by a score of 51-41. That looming 51-41 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Skyline yet this season.
Leelu Bare continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 13 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Skyline's points. Cami Groberg was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with nine rebounds.
Viewmont's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mara Mickelson, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubrey Mulitalo, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds.
Skyline's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7. As for Viewmont, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
Skyline will be home for the holidays to greet Clearfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Clearfield is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. As for Viewmont, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Utah (Riverton is ranked 81st, while Viewmont is ranked 59th).
