Laurel now  has a winning record of 2-1. As for New Castle, their  defeat was their first of the  season and also makes their record 2-1.
 Looking ahead, Laurel will take on Mohawk Area at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday. As for New Castle, they will challenge Upper St. Clair at 7:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
