The Drake/Anamoose Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood Mavericks at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Drake/Anamoose's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Monday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Westhope/Newburg, falling 77-41. While losing is never fun, Drake/Anamoose can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 113th, while Westhope/Newburg is ranked fifth).
Meanwhile, Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood pushed their score all the way to 58 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 75-58 bruising from Westhope/Newburg.
Drake/Anamoose's loss dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
Drake/Anamoose didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood in their previous matchup back in December of 2020, but they still walked away with a 73-67 win. Will Drake/Anamoose repeat their success, or does Mohall/Lansford/Sherwood have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
