The Flinthills Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Central Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Flinthills came up short against the Bluejays and fell 49-38. Flinthills has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite their loss, Flinthills saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jake Hunter, who scored 13 points along with four steals, was perhaps the best of all. Hunter is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last five games he's played. Charles Farris was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell to South Haven 49-43. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Central came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 126th, while the Cardinals are ranked 283rd).
Flinthills' defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Central, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-3-1.
