In what's become a running theme this season, Mount Notre Dame gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 62-34 win over Ursuline Academy. Given Mount Notre Dame's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Ursuline Academy is ranked 455th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Mount Notre Dame got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Grace Pitzer out in front who scored 13 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Kailee Bransford, who scored 11 points.
Mount Notre Dame's win bumped their record up to 15-3. As for Ursuline Academy, they dropped their record down to 3-14 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.
Mount Notre Dame will take on Mercy McAuley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Mercy McAuley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Tuesday. As for Ursuline Academy, they will head out on the road to take on St. Ursula Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Ursula Academy is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
