The Southwest Onslow Stallions were the 35-7 winner over the Farmville Central Jaguars when they last played one another back in November of 2014, but their luck changed this time around. Southwest Onslow fell 42-35 to Farmville Central on Friday. Southwest Onslow has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Farmville Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Landen Barnes, who rushed for 156 yards while picking up 7.4 yards per carry, and also threw for 96 yards and two touchdowns. Barnes was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards. Alex Moye and his 94 yards on the ground were also a key factor in Farmville Central's win.
Southwest Onslow now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Farmville Central, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 9-2.
Southwest Onslow does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Farmville Central will head out on the road to face off against SouthWest Edgecombe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. SouthWest Edgecombe will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
