Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Kaufman Lions, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 56-28 loss at the hands of Panther Creek. Kaufman was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-7.
Braxton Roberts was his usual excellent self, throwing for 255 yards and a touchdown while completing 72.7% of his passes, and also punching in a touchdown on the ground. Sentel Simpson was in the mix as well, providing Panther Creek with two touchdowns.
Kaufman's loss dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Panther Creek, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.
Kaufman does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Panther Creek also has no future games currently scheduled.
