The Oak Grove Grizzlies waltzed into Tuesday's contest with two straight wins but they left with three. They walked away with a 43-33 win over Randleman. Given Oak Grove's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 110th, while Randleman is ranked 287th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Trista Charles continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with nine rebounds. The match was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Emma Hadley was another key contributor, scoring two points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Randleman lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Audra Petty, who scored eight points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Chenleigh Robinson, who scored 12 points.
Oak Grove pushed their record up to 7-1 with that victory, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Randleman, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.
Oak Grove will be playing in front of their home fans against Eastern Randolph at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Randleman won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Central Davidson at 6:00 p.m. on December 13th.
