Polson took a serious blow against Loyola-Sacred Heart on Friday, falling 54-20. Polson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-5.
Despite the defeat, Polson had strong showings from Hinkley Moss, who scored 6 points, and Samantha Rensvold, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Polson's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Loyola-Sacred Heart, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Polson will head out on the road to face off against Corvallis at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Loyola-Sacred Heart will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Lincoln County at 5:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
