The Lakeview Bulldogs can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They came out on top against Maplewood by a score of 44-36. That's another feather in the cap for Lakeview, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Lakeview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Izzy Haines, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Haines continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Anna Haynie, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
Lakeview's victory bumped their record up to 2-6. As for Maplewood, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lakeview will square off against South Range at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Maplewood is on the road again on Thursday and play against Pymatuning Valley at 5:30 p.m. on December 21st. Hopefully Pymatuning Valley focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 33 last Monday.
