The Riverside-Durham Pirates have been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell to Jordan 67-61. Riverside-Durham has not had much luck with Jordan recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Riverside-Durham still got an impressive performance from Corey Hairston Jr., who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. Jaden Butler was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 14 rebounds.
Jordan got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Julian Lowe out in front who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Johnson, who scored 13 points.
Riverside-Durham's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Jordan, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Northern Durham the next time they take the court. Jordan will head out to face Northern Durham at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Riverside-Durham will head out to face them at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
