Meanwhile, Augusta Eagles took their match at home on Friday with ease, bagging a 52-6 victory over Harvest Christian Academy. The result was nothing new for Augusta Eagles, who have now won four matches by 26 points or more so far this season.
Augusta Eagles' success was spearheaded by the efforts of John Craine, who rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on only six carries, and Eli Poteet, who rushed for 69 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries. Craine's longest rush was for an incredible 71 yards.
Victory Christian's defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their overall record down to 3-5. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.67 points per game. Augusta Eagles has been no stranger to the win column this season, as they've started out with wins in seven of their first eight contests, giving them a 7-1 record.
