Benson has gone a perfect 5-0 against St. Augustine Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wolves at 4:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
On Monday, Benson beat Pima 13-8. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Bobcats' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

Alyana Bosley made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and seven unearned) runs off nine hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddison Ogilvie, who went 1-for-5 with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Sierra Olson was another key player, going 3-for-5 with three RBI.
Meanwhile, St. Augustine Catholic waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Titans 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won six contests by 13 runs or more so far this season.
Like Benson, St. Augustine Catholic also got a great game from a two-way player: Lehla Joe. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Joe was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs.
In other batting news, Mia Sofia Hernandez and Celeste Durazo did most of the damage at the plate: Hernandez went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Durazo got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Durazo has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Jayleigh Diaz, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
St. Augustine Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .720. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .667 or higher in three consecutive games.
Benson's win bumped their record up to 5-12. As for St. Augustine Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 7-5.
Benson got the 'W' when the teams last played back in April of 2025 against St. Augustine Catholic by a conclusive 14-2 score. Do the Bobcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wolves turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
