The Monrovia Bulldogs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 67-50 to North Putnam. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Monrovia in their matchups with North Putnam: they've now lost three in a row.
Monrovia lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Clay Tharp, who scored 15 points. Tucker Rahn was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with two steals.
Monrovia has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for North Putnam, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-8 record this season.
Monrovia will head out on the road to face off against Indianapolis Shortridge at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Putnam, North Putnam and Cloverdale will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Cloverdale is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
