7A District 14 recap Oct. 30, 2012
Northeast extended the longest winning streak in 7A District 14 this week by beating Coral Glades, 52-15. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Hurricanes.
Northeast took down the Jaguars 52-15 last week, the largest margin of any game.
6-foot-1 quarterback Gregory Hankerson of Boyd Anderson is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1605. He has also thrown 17 touchdowns. On the ground, Coral Glades' Malik Bynum has rushed for 280 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jason Engel. The Coral Glades star has 30 catches for 536 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Cobras take on Coconut Creek. Boyd Anderson is currently in second, while the Cougars are in sixth.
Donnell Bennett's team led 7A District 14 in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on Jeff Mathis' team.
