Brownfield got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Maya Martinez out in front who scored 13 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alliey Coffey, who scored eight points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Muleshoe has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Brownfield, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-17.
Muleshoe will be playing in front of their home fans against the Wildcats at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Littlefield is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Brownfield, they will take on the Mustangs at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Texas (Denver City is ranked 671st, while the Cubs are ranked 694th).
