After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Strake Jesuit, the Alief Taylor Lions were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Pearland a 1-0 shutout. Bryan Fajardo had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Alief Taylor.
Alief Taylor is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2-2 record this season. As for Pearland, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4-3.
Alief Taylor will head out on the road to square off against Shadow Creek at 7:10 p.m. on Friday. Alief Taylor's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for Pearland, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Strake Jesuit at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Strake Jesuit's favor is that they have posted big goal totals in their last three contests.
