The Upper Perkiomen Indians''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 35-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Norristown. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Upper Perkiomen in their matchups with Norristown: they've now lost three in a row.
Norristown's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Rashon Giddens led the charge by picking up 152 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Giddens' longest reception was for an incredible 82 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendan Farrell, who threw for 212 yards and four touchdowns on only ten passes.
Upper Perkiomen's defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 1-10. As for Norristown, their victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-9.
Upper Perkiomen is on the road again on Friday and play against Norristown at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th.
