That triple was Neville's first of the season. Brooklyn Kutil was another, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run, one double, and one RBI.
For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Nauset Regional and Sturgis East have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Monday. The Warriors put the hurt on the Storm with a sharp 19-4 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.
Alex Mince was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Lucy Hartung, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.
Nauset Regional always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .722. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Nauset Regional pushed their record up to 12-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 18.0 runs over those games. As for Upper Cape Cod RVT, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.
Everything went Upper Cape Cod RVT's way against Nauset Regional in their previous meeting back in April, as Upper Cape Cod RVT made off with a 10-3 victory. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
