In what's become a running theme this season, the Liberty Christian Patriots gave their fans yet another huge win on Monday. They breezed by Carolina M on the road to the tune of 70-32. Given Liberty Christian's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 282nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 615th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Jakeem Bradford was his usual excellent self, shooting 4-for-8 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 30 points and ten rebounds. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Ian Sterrett was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with four steals.
Liberty Christian is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Carolina M, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty Christian won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the Trojans at 6:15 p.m. on February 6th. As for Carolina M, they will head out on the road to challenge the at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
