The Central Catholic Rams will venture away from home to face off against the Clackamas Cavaliers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Central Catholic has three straight victories, Clackamas has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Central Catholic barely beat Reynolds the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams' pitchers stepped up to hand the Raiders a 19-0 shutout on Monday. That 19-run margin sets a new team best for the Rams this season.
Siri Coe looked comfortable as she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, Portland Razo was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Emery Pike, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Central Catholic always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Clackamas couldn't beat Nelson on Friday even though they stacked five runs on them in the fifth inning. The Cavaliers came up short against Nelson, falling 16-6.
Aadysen Camarena made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.
Central Catholic's record is now 7-9. As for Clackamas, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Central Catholic has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .435. However, it's not like Clackamas struggles in that department as they've averaged .461. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Central Catholic got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in May of 2025 against Clackamas by a conclusive 8-0 score. Do the Rams have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cavaliers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
