Volleyball Recap: Downey Snags Third Victory in Last Four Games

If Turlock wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Downey, they should've done a better job of containing Miguel Garcia Gonzalez. The Knights walked away with a 3-1 win over the Bulldogs on Thursday with plenty of help from Garcia Gonzalez, who had ten digs and two aces. He has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last five times he's played.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-20, 23-25, 25-13.

Downey is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Turlock, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-11 record.

Looking ahead, Downey will face off against Modesto at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Turlock does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
