The team relied heavily on Austin Halvorson, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ashton Bergman, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Jackson always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Everett came out on top against Marysville-Pilchuck on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run second inning. The Seagulls blew past the Tomahawks 13-1. The Seagulls haven't had any issues with the Tomahawks recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Owen Brunni made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out ten batters over four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one run.
In other batting news, Nathan Mauss-Barquest was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. He has become a key player for Everett: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 0-6 otherwise. Lincoln Stewart was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Everett picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Jackson, their record now sits at 8-0.
Everett's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Jackson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .347. It's a different story for Everett, though, as they've only averaged .239. Will they be able to contain Jackson's hitters?
Jackson came out on top in a nail-biter against Everett in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Timberwolves since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
