After losing to Robinson the last time they met, Dieterich decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Movin Maroons walked away with an 11-6 victory over the Maroons on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Movin Maroons sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Jaxon Funneman and Jackson Icenogle did most of the damage at the plate: Funneman went 3-for-4 with three runs and one double, while Icenogle went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Dieterich's record is now 5-9. As for Robinson, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dieterich will face off against St. Anthony at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Robinson, they will challenge Charleston at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Maroons are facing the Trojans at the right time seeing as the Trojans are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
