Bear River has gone 9-1 against Logan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. Bear River and Logan will meet for a tough Bear Battle. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Bear River is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Syracuse, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Bear River was ranked second). Bear River put the hurt on Syracuse with a sharp 19-5 win on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Bears sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Kate Wilson spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on six hits and racked up ten Ks.

03/22/25 vs Ridgeline | 4 |
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bella Dougals, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Aubree Fry, who scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances.
Bear River always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Syracuse only posted an OBP of .333.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Logan, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Ridgeline on Friday as Logan made off with a 13-2 victory. The high-scoring effort was just what the Grizzlies needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Logan let Kiki Laing and Emma Bracken run wild. Laing scored three runs while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances, while Bracken went 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. What's more, Bracken posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. Cadence Boyer was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Bear River pushed their record up to 13-1 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Logan, the win got them back to even at 6-6.
Logan's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Monday. Bear River has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.9 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Logan, though, as they've been averaging only 3.8 strikeouts. Will Bear River keep running through batters, or will Logan buck the trend?
Bear River took their victory against Logan in their previous matchup on March 11th by a conclusive 11-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bear River since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
