The Rosman Tigers will challenge the Mitchell Mountaineers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Rosman has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
It was a proper cat-fight when Rosman duked it out with Draughn on Friday. Rosman lost 15-2 to Draughn. The Tigers have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meetings.

Rosman saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bradley Queen, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Queen has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played.
Meanwhile, Mitchell entered their tilt with Johnson County on Friday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Longhorns by a score of 8-4.
Riley Silver made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March of 2024. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That triple was his first of the season.
In other batting news, Mitchell got a massive performance out of AJ Mackey, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jaxon Rohr, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Mitchell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in three consecutive matchups.
Mitchell's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Rosman, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Rosman has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.2 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Mitchell struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Rosman came up short against Mitchell in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 10-5. Can Rosman avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
