The home team had won the previous three meetings between Payton College Prep and Von Steuben, and Payton College Prep kept the tradition alive. The Grizzlies walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Panthers on Tuesday. The Grizzlies were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Panthers, so the Grizzlies were just returning the favor.

Jason Beerkens paced Payton College Prep's offense, picking up ten kills. Beerkens got some help from Alexander Dragoshanskiy and his 18 assists. Dragoshanskiy also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Simon Berk, racking up two apiece.

Payton College Prep's win bumped their record up to 6-7. As for Von Steuben, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Payton College Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Amundsen on the 16th. As for Von Steuben, they have also already played their next match, a 2-1 loss against Taft on the 17th.
