Despite the loss, Canon-McMillan still got an impressive performance from Zach Welsh, who rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown.
Canon-McMillan has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Peters Township, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Canon-McMillan will take on Mt. Lebanon at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Mt. Lebanon is ranked 40th, while Canon-McMillan is ranked 30th). As for Peters Township, they will be playing at home against Bethel Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bethel Park is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
