Even though the Northwestern Wildcats scored an imposing 55 points on Wednesday, the Conneaut Spartans still came out on top. Conneaut enjoyed a cozy 70-55 victory over Northwestern. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Conneaut.
Among those leading the charge was Chance Loomis, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Conneaut's points. Noah Hamm was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 6 steals and 5 assists.
Conneaut's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Northwestern, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Conneaut will look to defend their home court on Saturday against St. John at 1:15 p.m. Northwestern will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against General McLane at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. General McLane has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 204 points over their last three matches.
