The Faith Christian Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Bell Creek Academy Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Faith Christian is ranked 537th, while Bell Creek Academy is ranked 535th).
Last Thursday, Faith Christian lost to St. Edward's on the road by a decisive 37-21 margin.
Despite their defeat, Faith Christian saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Robian Ramos, who rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.6 yards per carry, was perhaps the best of all. Ramos' longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Valentine, who rushed for 83 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries.
Meanwhile, Bell Creek Academy fell victim to Cambridge Christian's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They had to suffer through a rough 35-0 loss at the hands of the Lancers. Bell Creek Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped Faith Christian to 4-4 and Bell Creek Academy to 3-5.
Faith Christian came up short against Bell Creek Academy when the teams last played back in September, falling 12-7. Can Faith Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
