The Front Range Christian Falcons will face off against the Rye Thunderbolts at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Front Range Christian took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Byers, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Falcons narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 12-10. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Falcons have posted since April 26, 2025.

Max Morton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Front Range Christian is 5-2 when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise. Morton was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Haedan Morton, who went 3-for-4 with three stolen bases, four RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. Micah Parker was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Rye entered their tilt with Peyton on Monday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Panthers 12-2. Considering the Thunderbolts have won eight matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Like Front Range Christian, Rye also got a great game from a two-way player: Branson Burbidge. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Burbidge was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with three runs, three RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, Pierce Burris was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Max Rocha, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs.
Rye hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Front Range Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Rye, they now have a winning record of 11-10.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Front Range Christian has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Rye struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
