A feisty cat fight will be fought as Jacksboro Tigers challenge Krum Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Jacksboro is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Last Saturday, Jacksboro made easy work of Bowie and carried off a 9-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Brooke Reaves spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in February.
At the plate, Brailyn Tullous was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. She also put up a home run, which was her first of the season. Rylee Bennett was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.
Tullous wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Jacksboro kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, Krum has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.78 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They came out on top against Bridgeport by a score of 16-11. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bobcats.
Krum let Addyson Zimmerman and Taylor Fauver run wild. Zimmerman went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Fauver scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Fauver is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jazmine Jackson, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4.
Krum's victory bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Jacksboro, their win bumped their record up to 14-8-1.
Friday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Jacksboro has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .450. However, it's not like Krum struggles in that department as they've averaged .480. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Jacksboro couldn't quite get it done against Krum when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 5-1. Will Jacksboro have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
