Softball Recap: East Aurora Wins Going Away Against Kennedy

East Aurora barely beat Kennedy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Bears on Wednesday. The Blue Devils' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Sage Rozanski made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Those hits marked the first that she allowed this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, East Aurora let Sabrina Sultana and Grace Gallo run wild. Sultana scored three runs while going 2-for-3, while Gallo scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances. Ava ?MJ? Improta also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

East Aurora was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .483. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in three consecutive contests.

The win got East Aurora back to even at 2-2. As for Kennedy, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-4.

Coming up, East Aurora will challenge Nardin Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kennedy, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Dunkirk at 5:00 p.m. on the 22nd.
