Although he's not signing his National Letter of Intent today,
Our Lady of Good Counsel (Olney, Md.) athlete
Stefon Diggs is still a hot topic among recruiting fans.
He's even the subject of water cooler talk around CBS Sports Network studios.
Former Illinois head coach Ron Zook, who was impressed with Diggs even as a ninth grader, believes there's a chance that Diggs will stay at home to play for Maryland.
Zook said that Maryland assistant Mike Locksley has a great relationship with Diggs and his family and could convince the nation's No. 2 athlete to sign with Maryland.
Locksley, a native of Washington, D.C., coached with Zook at both Florida and Illinois.
Many believe Florida is the leader for Diggs, who is also strongly considering Auburn.
However, Maryland increasingly becoming more of a threat. Yesterday, MaxPreps reported that
Diggs will be visiting the College Park campus this weekend.
