After a string of three wins, Holyoke's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost to the Yuma Indians on the road by a decisive 49-31 margin. The Dragons were down 39-20 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
The loss dropped Holyoke's record to 6-13. The win was the fourth in a row for Yuma and raised their record to 16-2.
Holyoke will take on Wiggins on Tuesday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close contest. Yuma will be hunkering down at home again for their game against Haxtun Friday. Haxtun took a loss in their last matchup and are no doubt out to reverse Yuma's good fortune.
