When it comes to explaining why Morning Star Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Gavin Trotter. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. Trotter is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Isaac Yowell, who scored 14 points along with two blocks.
Isaiah Schuler continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Faith Christian, scoring 27 points along with three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Schuler has scored at least a third of Faith Christian's points. Tyler Kibble was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with three steals.
Morning Star Academy's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for Faith Christian, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Morning Star Academy will face off against the at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Pathway Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
