Bonduel has won 17 straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Seymour has won 17 straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Thursday. The Bears will host the Thunder at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Bonduel 2.7, Seymour 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Bonduel came out on top against Stratford on Tuesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run third inning. The Bears had just enough and edged out the Tigers 9-7.

| 05/12/26 vs Amherst | 2 |

Bonduel got a massive performance out of Gracyn Wudtke, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave Wudtke a new career-high. Juliana Jacobs was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Bonduel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stratford only managed seven.
Meanwhile, Seymour put their dominant pitcher on display in the team's third consecutive shutout on Monday. They never let New London get on the board and left with a 12-0 victory. The result was nothing new for the Thunder, who have now won 11 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Kendra Rettler made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 17 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Lyla Schueler, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Adde Smith, who went 1-for-2 with one home run.
Seymour's win bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Bonduel, their victory bumped their record up to 21-2.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Bonduel has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.3 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Seymour struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.5 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Bonduel couldn't quite get it done against Seymour when the teams last played back in May of 2025 as they fell 3-0. Will the Bears have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
