Sallisaw faced Stigler in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Black Diamonds never let the Panthers get on the board and left with a 10-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Black Diamonds, who have now won 12 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Sallisaw's victory was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.4 runs on average over those games. As for Stigler, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-3.

Sallisaw will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
