American History has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against the Newark Tech Terries at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Newark Tech took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on American History, who comes in off a win.
Last Thursday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, American History beat Dickinson 27-21.
American History found their leader in underclassman Erica Lawson, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten steals. Lawson is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Neveah Stanley, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Newark Tech, who are still winless after their seventh game. They were dealt a 48-9 defeat at the hands of Montclair Kimberley Academy last Thursday.
American History has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Newark Tech, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-7.
