After both having extra time off, the Cascia Hall Commandos and the Lincoln Christian Bulldogs will dust off their jerseys to challenge one another at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd. Cascia Hall will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 396th, while Lincoln Christian is ranked 18th).
Last Friday, Cascia Hall was the victim of a tough 45-19 defeat at the hands of Metro Christian.
Meanwhile, Lincoln Christian put the finishing touches on their 12th blowout victory of the season last Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 72-38 victory over Victory Christian. The victory was familiar territory for Lincoln Christian who now have seven in a row.
Lincoln Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Maddi Stewart, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds. Jada Faulkner was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Cascia Hall bumped their record down to 1-7 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.0 points per game. As for Lincoln Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-3 record this season.
Cascia Hall was taken down by Lincoln Christian 76-19 in their previous meeting back in December of 2023. Can Cascia Hall avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
