After losing to the Groom Tigers the last time they met, the Valley Patriots decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Valley walked away with a 36-24 victory over Groom on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Valley.
Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kanyon Taylor led the charge by scoring ten points along with seven rebounds and four blocks. Taylor hasn't dropped below two blocks for five straight games. Brayson Cruse was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Valley has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 18-12 record this season. As for Groom, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-14.
Valley will head out on the road to take on Hedley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Valley is facing Hedley at the right time seeing as Hedley is stuck on a 11-game losing streak. As for Groom, they will be playing at home against Silverton at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Silverton will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Groom surely won't give up without a fight.
