Hill Freedman World Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 67-42 margin over Kensington. Winning may never get old, but Hill Freedman World Academy sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Hill Freedman World Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaiden Copeland led the charge by scoring 22 points along with five steals. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. Amaad Lyles was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 14 assists and eight steals.
Despite the loss, Kensington still got an impressive performance from Jovan McCants, who scored 19 points. McCants scored a full 45.2% of Kensington's points, the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deanthony Rodriguez, who scored eight points.
Hill Freedman World Academy's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Kensington, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hill Freedman World Academy will face off against Franklin Learning Center at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Learning Center comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for Kensington, they will head out on the road to face off against Belmont Charter at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Pennsylvania (Belmont Charter is ranked 432nd, while Kensington is ranked 448th).
