Charlestown is 2-8 against Corydon Central since November of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Charlestown Pirates will be home for the holidays to greet the Corydon Central Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Wednesday, Charlestown lost to Pike on the road by a decisive 55-39 margin.
Meanwhile, Corydon Central came up short against Meade County on Thursday and fell 58-51. While losing is never fun, Corydon Central can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 107th in Indiana, while Meade County is ranked 23rd in Kentucky).
Charlestown's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Corydon Central, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-5.
Charlestown ended up a good deal behind Corydon Central in their previous meeting back in January, losing 58-39.
