Madison Academy has gone a perfect 10-0 against East Limestone recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mustangs will face off against the Indians at 5:00 p.m.
Madison Academy managed to slip by Bob Jones the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Mustangs wound up with the same score they had in their last game (10-0), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The contest marked the first time this season in which they were not able to get on the board.
East Limestone came out on top against Westminster Christian Academy on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run first inning. The Indians were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Wildcats. Considering the Indians have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Coleby Davis was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Davis was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, East Limestone got a massive performance out of Landon Compton, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. That's the most doubles Compton has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was David Raddin, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
East Limestone kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Westminster Christian Academy only managed six.
East Limestone has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.9 runs over those games. As for Madison Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 17-8.
Madison Academy beat East Limestone 8-4 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Indians have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
