MERIDIAN, Miss. - the Wildcats had a big 21-point second quarter on Saturday, sealing a 35-0 victory over Jim Hill (Jackson, Miss.).
Meridian rushed for three touchdowns on the ground during the quarter, including one by
Andrew Bator.
The lead that MHS took on a
Jamarius Smith touchdown run with 4:00 remaining in the first quarter stood up for the duration of the game, as neither team managed to score in the second half.
The loss was the fourth in a row for the Tigers.
Meridian (4-1) goes up against Provine in a 6A Region 3 game matchup next week, while Jim Hill (1-5) locks horns with Terry also in a 6A Region 3 game.
