There's no place like home for the Baptist Hill Bobcats, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against Military Magnet Academy by a score of 63-55 on Thursday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Baptist Hill was led to victory by Rickey Middleton Jr and Jaden Douglas. Middleton Jr scored 20 points along with six rebounds and two steals, while Douglas scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Middleton Jr is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Darnell Gadsden Jr, who scored eight points.
When it comes to explaining why Military Magnet Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaylen Waters. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Waters has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jailen Williams, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 11 rebounds.
Baptist Hill's victory bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Military Magnet Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-17.
Baptist Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Military Magnet Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
