Basketball Recap: Farmington Skates Past Cibola with Ease

Farmington won the last time they faced Cibola and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Farmington Scorpions took their game with ease, bagging a 67-28 victory over the Cibola Cougars. The Scorpions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 21 points or more this season.

Kjani Anitielu continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 10-for-16 en route to 24 points in addition to seven steals and six boards. What's more, she also posted a 63% field goal percentage, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Caris Dale was another key player, going 7-for-14 on her way to 18 points and four steals.

Farmington smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive contests.

Farmington is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.6 points over those games. Cibola's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-16.

Farmington didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 53-43 win against Piedra Vista on the 20th. As for Cibola, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 69-37 loss against Volcano Vista on the 20th.
