Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Friday, Hernando Christian Academy lost to Seven Rivers Christian at home by a decisive 60-41 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hernando Christian Academy in their matchups with Seven Rivers Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Carson Hedick, who scored 10 points. Another player making a difference was Caydon Williams, who scored 9 points.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Bishop McLaughlin Catholic, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 65-51 loss to Crystal River on Thursday.
Academy at the Lakes' win bumped their season record to 0-0 while Hernando Christian Academy's loss dropped theirs to 0-2.
