The Troy Christian Eagles suffered their biggest defeat since December 14, 2023 on Thursday. They were the victim of a tough 64-38 loss at the hands of Milton-Union. Troy Christian has not had much luck with Milton-Union recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Milton-Union's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ava Berberich, who scored 16 points along with seven assists and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Shannon Brumbaugh, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Troy Christian now has a losing record at 6-7. As for Milton-Union, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
Troy Christian will head out on the road to face off against Riverside at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Riverside is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. Milton-Union will take on Miami East at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Miami East is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
